| Increasing ARPU Through Managed Services |
The declining number of wireline customers forces wireline carriers to find other ways to boost revenue.
One way for wireline carriers to do that is by deploying a solution with the flexibility to help small businesses increase their capabilities as it provides security (VPN and VLAN) and routing for those businesses. A recent survey showed that major carriers increase their ARPU by charging from $5 to $10 per service per month, with discounts for multiple services.
The value-added services, such as VPN, firewall, and routing services, create a stickier bond between customers and their service providers. That's because customers are less inclined to make changes to a broad range of services they already receive.
