Overview

The TraverseEdge™ 2020 (TE-2020) is a flexible, OC-192-capable multiservice edge multiplexer. With scalability of up to 40 Gbps for the main shelf, the TE-2020 is optimized for small to medium-density metro access applications in central offices, co-location sites and other facilities. The NEBS-compliant, fully redundant architecture of the TE-2020 incorporates a building block approach designed to meet customers’ requirements for cost-effective, multiservice capacity.

The TE-2020 design supports a wide variety of SONET, Ethernet and TDM interfaces including OC-3/12/48/192, DS-1, DS3, 10/100 and GbE. The building-block elements consist of the TE-2020 Main Shelf, DS3/EC1 Tributary Shelf (ETS1), ETS2 Shelf, and OTS2 Shelf.
